چکیده

A total of 144 weaned piglets (6.80 ± 0.46 kg, [Landrace × Yorkshire] Duroc) were used in a 4-week feeding trial to determine the effect nano zinc oxide or chelated as alternatives medical (ZnO) piglets. The pigs randomly distributed one 6 treatment groups (4 pen, replicate pens per treatment). dietary treatments negative control (NC), no additional diet; positive (PC), NC + 2500 mg/kg ZnO; 100 mg Chelate (NC chelate); 200 Nano ZnO nanoparticles), and nanoparticles). growth performance fed PC diets significantly higher than that (p < .05). Feeding Low or Pharmacological Concentrations of Zinc Oxide Changes the Hepatic Proteome Profiles in Weaned Piglets

Pharmacological levels of zinc oxide can promote growth and health of weaning piglets, but the underlying molecular mechanisms are yet not fully understood. The aim of this study was to determine changes in the global hepatic protein expression in response to dietary zinc oxide in weaned piglets. Nine half-sib piglets were allocated to three dietary zinc treatment groups (50, 150, 2500 mg/kg dr...

Zinc oxide nanoparticles as a substitute for zinc oxide or colistin sulfate: Effects on growth, serum enzymes, zinc deposition, intestinal morphology and epithelial barrier in weaned piglets

The objective of this study was to evaluate effects of zinc oxide nanoparticles (nano-ZnOs) as a substitute for colistin sulfate (CS) and/or zinc oxide (ZnO) on growth performance, serum enzymes, zinc deposition, intestinal morphology and epithelial barrier in weaned piglets. A total of 216 crossbred Duroc×(Landrace×Yorkshire) piglets weaned at 23 days were randomly assigned into 3 groups, whic...

The effect of seaweed extract as an alternative to zinc oxide diets on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and fecal score of weaned piglets.

This study investigated if supplementing the diet with seaweed extracts (SWE) containing laminarin and fucoidan would promote growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and fecal consistency in newly weaned piglets during 2 growth phases as compared with ZnO. The experiment was designed as a 2 × 2 factorial with 2 levels of SWE (0 or 300 mg/kg laminarin + 240 mg/kg fucoidan) and 2 levels of Zn...

Effect of dietary zinc oxide on jejunal morphological and immunological characteristics in weaned piglets.

The aim of this study was to evaluate age-related changes and the effect of dietary Zn concentration on morphological and immunological characteristics in the gastrointestinal tract of piglets. A total of 96 purebred Landrace piglets were weaned at the age of 26 ± 1 d, and randomly allocated into 3 treatment groups fed with low (57 mg Zn/kg), medium (164 mg Zn/kg), and high (2425 mg Zn/kg) diet...

Effect of seaweed-derived laminarin and fucoidan and zinc oxide on gut morphology, nutrient transporters, nutrient digestibility, growth performance and selected microbial populations in weaned pigs.

In the present study, two experiments were conducted to (1) evaluate the effect of laminarin and/or fucoidan on ileal morphology, nutrient transporter gene expression and coefficient of total tract apparent digestibility (CTTAD) of nutrients and (2) determine whether laminarin inclusion could be used as an alternative to ZnO supplementation in weaned pig diets. Expt 1 was designed as a 2 × 2 fa...
